SHANGHAI (AFX-ASIA) - China's mobile phone output rose 42 pct year-on-year to 110 mln units in the first half, the International Business Daily reported, citing figures from the Ministry of Information Industry (MII).
The newspaper said China exported 52.77 mln units of mobile phones in the first half, up 56 pct from a year earlier.
The report said most of the exported mobile phones were produced by the mainland joint ventures of Motorola, Siemens, Nokia, Ericsson, Samsung, LG and Sanyo. "
