Yahoo matches prediction Alcoa misses

Alcoa Profit Surges on Chemicals, Alumina
Net income rose to $404 million, or 46 cents a share, from $355 million, or 40 cents a share, in the previous quarter
Analysts had expected Alcoa to earn 48 cents per share in this quarter, according to Reuters Estimates.
