Eurasia connection. America's Motorola (nyse: MOT - news - people ) and Tokyo-based NTT DoCoMo (nyse: DCM - news - people ) will team to create a more sophisticated mobile telephone that Japanese subscribers can use while traveling elsewhere in Asia as well as Europe. The companies made the joint-venture announcement Wednesday. The high-speed, broadband handsets will be available in early 2005, the firms said. Subscribers will be able to surf the Internet or make phone calls over high-speed wireless networks, the announcement said
