Banc of America Securities raised its target price for Symantec (nasdaq: SYMC - news - people ) and said "enormous growth opportunities" at the security software firm will support more than 20% earnings growth over the next one to two years. "This growth is bolstered by a burgeoning deferred revenue balance that reflects its dominant market position in the consumer anti-virus (AV) business," it said.
