Nokia and Metrowerks Complete Transaction on Transfer of Application Development Technology to Nokia

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 18 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- On September 8, 2004, Nokia Corporation (NYSE: NOK - News) announced the agreement about an acquisition of applications development tools for Symbian OS and the licensing of core development tool technologies from Metrowerks Corporation, an independent subsidiary of Freescale Semiconductor, Inc. (NYSE: FSL - News).
The transaction was subject to customary closing conditions. The acquisition process was completed Friday.
