BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 1, 2004-- Novations Group Inc., a global professional services firm committed to building human performance, today announced that its Novations Learning Technologies division (NLT), based in Lansing, Michigan, has partnered with Motorola University to transform its Six Sigma methodology into newly developed e-learning programs that are available for sale externally.

The Six Sigma methodology is a proven tool set for driving and achieving transformational change within an organization. The Six Sigma e-Foundations course is an introductory course applicable to all employees within an organization and can be completed in approximately two hours. For any company using Six Sigma, the e-Foundations course is instrumental in developing a widespread understanding of the Six Sigma methodology. The second course, Six Sigma e-Green Belt Training, is more in-depth and focuses on problem solving, project management, and statistical skills while applying them to real business-improvement opportunities. This course takes users approximately 30-40 hours to complete and can be used to achieve a Green Belt certification issued by Motorola University.

"The impact of Motorola's Six Sigma process on improving business performance has been well documented by leading global organizations," said Craig Sawin, Chairman and CEO, Novations Group. "As more and more companies continue to invest in the Six Sigma methodology, Novations Group is proud to partner with Motorola University to offer the most effective and progressive e-learning training programs available today."

In the fall of 2002, Motorola wanted to launch new training as part of its Six Sigma renewal. Given the global employee population, Motorola also wanted to leverage the benefits of e-learning. To accomplish this, Motorola teamed with the instructional design staff at Novations Learning Technologies to create the two new online Six Sigma programs. More than 70,000 employees across the globe completed the introductory e-Foundations course, and the e-Green Belt program was deployed to a subset of the global employee population. Building upon this success, NLT and Motorola partnered to repurpose the e-Foundations and e-Green Belt courses so they could be used for any organization interested in starting a Six Sigma initiative or supplementing a current initiative.

"Novations Learning Technologies' excellent reputation, years of market experience, and high quality e-learning products made them the perfect partner for this project," said Stacy Hanley, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Motorola University. "The feedback we have received since the rollout both internally and externally has been tremendous. Users have commented on how the course design facilitates a rapid understanding of the material."

Training Media Review (www.tmreview.com), the only provider of hands-on reviews of business training content for both live and online training, awarded the eFoundations course their highest rating stating, "As an introduction to the concepts of Six Sigma we have found nothing better online or in other media." The review also included comments on the course's leadership principles referring to them as "the wave of the global economic future providing substance and direction for the new workplace."

The Six Sigma e-learning programs are accessible via the Novations e-learning web site at http://onlinelearning.novations.com. Connectivity or installation for corporate networks can also be arranged. Please e-mail info@novationslt.com or call 1-800-800-9296 for more information.
