Goldman Sachs maintained an "in-line" rating on Motorola (nyse: MOT - news - people ), saying the stock has 5% to 10% upside potential. The research firm said Motorola is benefiting from a stronger handset market, and raised the fiscal 2005 and 2006 earnings-per-share estimates to $1.04 and $1.15, respectively, from $1.03 and $1.11. Goldman said the new estimates reflect the impact of both increased handset forecasts as well as the expected benefit from Motorola's share repurchase program. The research firm currently forecasts global handset sales of 755 million units in calendar 2005, up from the previous estimate of 740 million
