Companies Sign Their First Global Preferred Partner and Handset Supplier Agreement
BARCELONA, Feb. 14
3GSM World Congress 2006 -- Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT - News) and T-Mobile International AG & Co. KG, today announced a first in the two companies' relationship with a global, broad reaching, strategic program for the marketing and development of products and services.
The agreement, signed at 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona, marks a significant landmark in driving both companies' global relationship and common vision to deliver mobile communications products and value added services for over 86.6 million T-Mobile consumers around the world.
With a focus on driving growth, both companies will develop and deliver a complete product portfolio spanning all price tiers, form factors and technologies aimed at maximising mobile consumer choice and experience.
The new portfolio will include handsets optimised to T-Mobile's web'n'walk service, mobile music experience and even faster access to their many internet services through UMTS and HSDPA. Together the agreement will deliver new and exciting consumer propositions with one click, quick and easy, access to their favourite websites practically anywhere anytime.
