June 2005 (Newstream) --

SCRIPT: Your Financial Fitness, I'm Matt Kelly. More than geopolitical instability, or higher inflation or even a softening real estate market, investment managers are most concerned about the impact that increasing interest rates might have on U.S. stocks, according to the latest quarterly poll of investment managers conducted by Russell Investment Group. Russell's Director, Client Investment Strategies, Erik Ristuben explains.

CUT: (Ristuben) Money managers clearly believe that interest rates are going to rise sooner rather than later and that a possible economic slowdown looms as a potential of the Fed's activities. Managers are mindful of earlier occasions when the Fed has raised rates too far, too fast.

SCRIPT: Despite these interest rate concerns, more than two thirds of money managers were bullish on large cap growth stocks, believing they are poised to show strong gains. That's Your Financial Fitness from Russell Investment Group, I'm Matt Kelly.

ANCHOR TAG: Over 100 professional money managers responded to Russell's quarterly Investment Manager Outlook survey. Russell, a manager-of-managers, publishes the full results and analysis online at www.russell.com.
